Spider Web Nails

IMG_0443

Start off by applying a base coat. I used Sally Hansen’s “Double Duty Base and Top Coat”.

IMG_0431

Then, paint your nails with a background color of your choice. I chose Jenna Hipp’s “Creme de Cantaloupe”.

IMG_0432

Next, with a striping brush and another color of your choice, paint a diagonal line going from one corner of the nail to the next. I used Apple Barrel’s “Black” acrylic paint.

IMG_0434

Then, using the same materials, paint two more diagonal lines coming from the same corner but going slightly to towards the top and bottom.

Now, using a liner brush and the same color, connect all the diagonal lines with small curved lines.

I painted three rows of these curved lines on my nails but it depends on the length of your nails.

Lastly, apply a top coat. I used Sally Hansen’s “Advanced Hard as Nails Strengthening Top Coat”.

Jack-O-Lantern Nails

IMG_0425

First, apply a base coat. I used Sally Hansen’s “Double Duty Base and Top Coat”.

IMG_0415

Next, apply an orange nail polish as a base color. I applied two coats of Finger Paints “Tangerine Tint”.

IMG_0416

Then, in the center of the nail, create a small black triangle as the nose for the Jack-O-Lanterns. I used Apple Barrel’s “Black” acrylic paint and a liner brush.

IMG_0420

Next, towards the top of the nail, paint the eyes. I painted some triangles (right side up for happy, upside down for angry) and some curved lines for a smiling pumpkin. I used the same materials to do this.

IMG_0421

Then, for the hard part, the mouths. For the smiling mouth, I found it easier to paint the two curved lines, fill it in with black and then add the orange squares using the same color as your background. For the squiggly mouth, I painted two triangles on both side, connected them with zig zag lines and then filled it in.

Finally, apply a top coat. I used Sally Hansen’s “Advanced Hard as Nails Strengthening Top Coat”.

Fall Scene, Pumpkin Nails

IMG_0410     IMG_0411

First, apply a base coat. I used Sally Hansen’s “Double Duty Base and Top Coat”.IMG_0397

Then, apply a black base color. I used Sinful Colors “Black on Black”.

IMG_0398

Next, using an orange color, paint some pumpkins on the bottom portion of the nail. I used Apple Barrel’s “Pumpkin Orange” acrylic paint and a liner brush. To create the pumpkins I made an oval shape with a small line coming out of the top for the stems.

IMG_0399

Then, outline the pumpkin shape (except for the stem). I used the same liner brush and I mixed the same orange color and Apple Barrel’s “Yellow” acrylic paint.

IMG_0400

Next, create a tree branch at the top of the nail. I did this using the same liner brush and Delta Ceramcoat’s “Autumn Brown” acrylic paint. To do this I painted one longer squiggly line coming out from one side of the nail and then a few smaller squiggly lines coming from the sides of it.

IMG_0401

Then, I mixed Craft Smart’s “Crisp Green” and “Light Green” acrylic paint together. I painted some grass in between the pumpkins just by painting some small lines and some leaves coming off the branches simply by slanting my brush and pressing it down where I wanted the leaf.

IMG_0402

Next, to add some detail, I went added another color in the center of the leafs and a few more lines in the grass. I used the same liner brush and mixed Craft Smart’s “Light Green” and Apple Barrel’s “Yellow” acrylic paint together.

IMG_0405

Finally, add a top coat. I used OPI’s “Matte Top Coat”.

Lace Nails

IMG_0360

Start off by applying a base coat. I used Sally Hansen’s “Double Duty Base and Top Coat”.

IMG_0344

Next, apply a base color of your choice. I applied four coats of Forever 21’s “Rose Petal”.

IMG_0347

On your thumb and ring finer paint to thin lines going diagonally across the nail. I used a thin striping brush and Apple Barrel’s “Black” acrylic paint.

IMG_0348

In between the two diagonal lines, using the same materials, paint Xs.

IMG_0349

Next, on the outside of the diagonal lines paint a few C shapes. I used a liner brush and the same acrylic paint.

IMG_0350

Then, create some smaller C shapes inside the C shapes previously created.

IMG_0351

Next, paint a few small dashes coming out from the top of the C shapes.

IMG_0352

For the next design, paint a half moon shape at the bottom of the nail. I used the same acrylic paint and liner brush.

IMG_0353

The next shape is a bit difficult to describe, towards the top of nail paint a small curved line, an upside down C shape and then another small curved line.

IMG_0354

Next, paint three long oval shapes coming off of the half moon at the bottom of the nail. Try to make these slightly more pointed where they touch the half moon and more rounded at the top.

IMG_0356

Then, paint smaller oval shapes inside of the oval shapes just created.

IMG_0357

Next, paint some small dashes coming off of and outlining the larger oval shapes.

IMG_0358

Then, paint some small dots outlining the odd shape or line towards the top of the nail. I did this using the same liner brush but it would be much easier with a small dotting tool.

IMG_0359

Lastly, apply a top coat. I used Sally Hansen’s “Advanced Hard as Nails Strengthening Top Coat”.
