Start off by applying a base coat. I used Sally Hansen’s “Double Duty Base and Top Coat”.

Next, apply a base color of your choice. I applied four coats of Forever 21’s “Rose Petal”.

On your thumb and ring finer paint to thin lines going diagonally across the nail. I used a thin striping brush and Apple Barrel’s “Black” acrylic paint.

In between the two diagonal lines, using the same materials, paint Xs.

Next, on the outside of the diagonal lines paint a few C shapes. I used a liner brush and the same acrylic paint.

Then, create some smaller C shapes inside the C shapes previously created.

Next, paint a few small dashes coming out from the top of the C shapes.

For the next design, paint a half moon shape at the bottom of the nail. I used the same acrylic paint and liner brush.

IMG_0353

The next shape is a bit difficult to describe, towards the top of nail paint a small curved line, an upside down C shape and then another small curved line.

Next, paint three long oval shapes coming off of the half moon at the bottom of the nail. Try to make these slightly more pointed where they touch the half moon and more rounded at the top.

Then, paint smaller oval shapes inside of the oval shapes just created.

IMG_0357

Next, paint some small dashes coming off of and outlining the larger oval shapes.

Then, paint some small dots outlining the odd shape or line towards the top of the nail. I did this using the same liner brush but it would be much easier with a small dotting tool.

Lastly, apply a top coat. I used Sally Hansen’s “Advanced Hard as Nails Strengthening Top Coat”.
