Leopard Print Nails

1456694802167

Start off with a base coat. I used Essie’s “Grow Stronger” base coat.

IMG_1423

Apply a nude polish as your base color, I used NYX’s “Bare My Soul”.

IMG_1425

Using a medium sized dotting tool place large and medium irregular dots all over the nail. I used two colors, Delta Ceramcoat’s “Autumn Brown” acrylic paint and Craft Smart’s “Rosemarie” acrylic paint. You don’t want these dots to be perfect, you want them to be irregularly shaped.

IMG_1427IMG_1429

Using a smaller dotting tool, fill in some of the empty space with small dots with the same colors.

IMG_1431

With a black nail polish or acrylic paint and the same small dotting tool, outline the larger dots. You want these lines to be irregular also, and you don’t want to outline the dots fully, only partially. Don’t outline the small dots. I used Apple Barrel’s “Black” acrylic paint.

IMG_1433

Fill up some more of the empty space with some small black irregular dots. It is okay if some dots and lines are overlapping, it helps the design to look more realistic.

Lastly, apply a top coat. I used Essie’s “Gel-Setter” top coat.

Line of Daisy Nails

IMG_1359

Start off with a base coat. I used Essie’s “Grow Stronger” base coat.

IMG_1338

Apply a base color of your choice, I used Essie’s “After School Boy Blazer”.

IMG_1342

To create the daisies paint a cross and then an X going over that cross in the middle of the nail and then surround that daisy with more on the top and bottom of it. I used Winstonia’s “Fine Line” brush and Apple Barrel’s “White” acrylic paint.

IMG_1344IMG_1345IMG_1346IMG_1347

Then, using the same color as the base color and a small dotting tool, place a small dot in the center of each daisy.

IMG_1349

Apply a top coat, I used Essie’s “Gel-Setter” top coat.

Heart Nails

IMG_1326

Start off with a base coat. I used Essie’s “Grow Stronger” base coat.

IMG_1316

Apply a white nail polish as the base color. I used Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear “White On”.  I also decided to do an accent nail on my ring finger with a red glitter polish, I used a Sephora mini that I unfortunately do not have the name for.

IMG_1319

Then using a medium dotting tool place two dots on the nail of a pink or red color. I forgot to take a picture of this part but if it is confusing you can watch the video linked below. Once you place the two dots, simply connect them with a triangle using a smaller dotting tool. I alternated the colors of the hearts and I used Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails “Heart of Stone” and OPI’s “OPI Red”. I also painted some of the hearts coming off of my nail to make the design more complete. I did this by either just painting the triangle or just painting the dots on the edge of my nail.

Apply a top coat. I used Essie’s “Gel-Setter” top coat.

Cut Out Heart Nails

Start off with a base coat. I used Essie’s “Grow Stronger” base coat.

IMG_1247

Using a detail brush, paint the outline of a heart or a partial heart on each nail. I used Sinful Color’s “Thimbleberry” and one of Winstonia’s “Fine Line” brushes. As you can see I am using the outline color as the background color on my ring finger for an accent nail.

IMG_1250

Then fill in the area surround the heart with the same color, you can use the nail polish brush and/or the detail brush, I used both.

IMG_1252

Outline each heart with the opposite color. For the red nails I used Essie’s “Jiggle Hi, Jiggle Low” and on the metallic nail I used the red color and also filled in the heart.

IMG_1254

Lastly, apply a top coat. I used Essie’s “Gel-Setter” top coat.

Rose Nails For Valentine’s Day

IMG_1236

Start off with a base coat, I used Essie’s “Grow Stronger” base coat.

IMG_1217

Apply a cream color as a base color, I used Essie’s “Walk Down the Aisle” and I had to apply about four coats.

IMG_1219

Using a brush or a dotting tool paint some irregular circles on the nails. I used Delta Ceramcoat’s “Hydrangea Pink” acrylic paint and Winstonia’s “Fine Line” brush.

IMG_1221

Paint the lines of a rose in the circle using a detail brush and a red color. I used Apple Barrel’s “Bright Red” acrylic paint and Red Carpet’s “Detail Brush”.

IMG_1223

Mix the light pink and the red color together with more pink than red and repeat this process. The roses will look better and more detailed with more layers.

IMG_1225

Then mix the same light pink and red together but with more red than pink this time and repeat the process.

IMG_1227

To paint the leaves use the same detail brush and a light green color. I added leaves around all the roses to fill up any open space. I used Delta Ceramcoat’s “Apple Green” acrylic paint. To pain the leaves you could create a small semicircle coming off the side of the rose and then add a small V to the top of the circle.

IMG_1229

Add a small amount of black acrylic paint to the green previously used to create a darker green and then outline the leaves. I added Apple Barrel’s “Black” acrylic paint and Winstonia’s “Berry Wine” brush.

IMG_1231

Apply a top coat, I used Essie’s “Gel-Setter” top coat.
