Start off with a base coat. I used Essie’s “Grow Stronger” base coat.

Using a detail brush, paint the outline of a heart or a partial heart on each nail. I used Sinful Color’s “Thimbleberry” and one of Winstonia’s “Fine Line” brushes. As you can see I am using the outline color as the background color on my ring finger for an accent nail.

Then fill in the area surround the heart with the same color, you can use the nail polish brush and/or the detail brush, I used both.

Outline each heart with the opposite color. For the red nails I used Essie’s “Jiggle Hi, Jiggle Low” and on the metallic nail I used the red color and also filled in the heart.

Lastly, apply a top coat. I used Essie’s “Gel-Setter” top coat.

Your cut out heart nails are finished!
