Foil Nails

IMG_20170326_214012_221.jpg

Start off with a base coat, I used China Glaze’s “Strong Adhesion Base Coat.”

IMG_3628.JPG

Apply a base color of your choice, I used Jenna Hipp’s “American Pie.”

IMG_3630.JPG

Next, apply some of the glue that will come with a foil kit, like the Ciate London foil kit I am using, apply as much or as little as you want. I used Ciate’s “Foil Fix.”

IMG_3632

Then, place the foil on the nail, dull side down, and gently press it into the nail. I used the silver foil that was in the kit.

IMG_3634IMG_3635

Repeat those steps with as many foils as you’d like. I only added one more foil and it was the pink one that was in the kit.

You can go back in and add more foil if needed. I went back and added some more to the edges of the nails so it looked more complete.

Spring Floral Nails

IMG_20170320_184317_894

Start off with a base coat, I used Seche Clear’s “Crystal Clear Base Coat.”

IMG_3601

Apply a base color of your choice, I used Essie’s “Fashion Playground.”

IMG_3603

With a white color and a small dotting tool place small dots all over the nails. I used Apple Barrel’s “White” acrylic paint.

IMG_3605

With one of the colors for your roses and a medium dotting tool place blobs all over the nails to start the roses. I used Ulta’s “Sugar Cookie.”

IMG_3607

With different shades of your chosen colors add details to the roses. To add dimension, place a dot on the roses and add some lines surrounding that, it is kind of hard to explain so I hope the pictures do a good job of explaining it. I used Red Carpet’s “Detail Brush”, Jenna Hipp’s “Rose Tart” and Sinful Colors’ “Soul Mate” and “Pink Forever.”

IMG_3609fullsizeoutput_6b7IMG_3613fullsizeoutput_6b8

Add leaves around the roses by creating a rounded triangle shape coming off of them. I used the same detail brush and Craft Smart’s “Crisp Green” acrylic paint.

fullsizeoutput_6b9

Add some dimension to the leaves by painting a line in the center of them with a lighter green color. I used Craft Smart’s “Light Green” acrylic paint.

Lastly, apply a top coat. I used Seche Vite’s “Dry Fast Top Coat.”

St. Patrick’s Day Nails

IMG_20170312_213223_454.jpg

Start off with a base coat, I used Seche Clear’s “Crystal Clear Base Coat.”

IMG_3568.JPG

Then apply a base color of your choice, I chose a green to stick with the St. Patrick’s Day theme. I used Sally Girl’s “Doup-812044.”

IMG_3570

With all of the colors of the rainbow and a thin detail brush, paint thin curved lines on the nail so that it looks like a rainbow is going across three of your nails. Try to make it look like it connects so have the next nail pick up where the last one left off. I used Winstonia’s “Berry Wine” brush and Apple Barrel’s “Bright Red”, “Pumpkin Orange”, “Yellow”, “Christmas Green”, “Cobalt Blue”, and “Concord Grape” (all acrylic paints).

IMG_3572IMG_3574IMG_3576IMG_3578IMG_3580IMG_3582At the end of one of the rainbows (see how the one on my pointer finger is shorter) create a black bowl like shape for the pot. I used the same detail brush and Apple Barrel’s “Black” acrylic paint.

IMG_3584

With a gold color and a small dotting tool add some gold to this pot. I used DecoArt’s “Glorious Gold” acrylic paint.

IMG_3586

On my thumb a pinky finger I created a leprechauns uniform. I first used Winstonia’s “Medium” striper brush to create a thick black line going across the nail horizontally and closer towards the tip of the nail.

IMG_3588

I then used Winstonia’s “Short” striper brush to create an outline of a square in the center of this line.

IMG_3590

Lastly, apply a top coat. I used Seche Vite’s “Dry Fast Top Coat.”

Three Leaf Clover Nails

IMG_20170305_205854_956.jpg

Start off with a base coat, I used Seche Clear’s “Crystal Clear Base Coat.”

IMG_3550.JPG

Apply a base color of your choice, I chose a green color for St. Patrick’s Day. I used a Sally Girl with no name #812165.

img_3552

To start the three leaf clovers place three sets of dots, one set horizontally towards the tip and the other two sets on each side vertically. I used a medium sized dotting tool and Sinful Colors’ “Happy Ending.”

fullsizeoutput_6b6img_3555

With a smaller dotting tool turn these dots into heart shapes by adding a triangle shape on the one end on each set of dots.

img_3556img_3557

With a dotting tool create a curved line similar to a “j” for the steams of the clovers.

img_3559

Lastly, apply a top coat, I used Seche Vite’s “Dry Fast Top Coat.”
