Hi everyone! Today I created my version of the oh so popular geode nails! I think they turned out pretty well, let me know what you think! These are super easy and you really don’t need anything but the nail polish brushes. They are perfect for beginner since one of the beautiful things about geodes is how imperfect they are, so there is no need to worry about the shapes. I hope you all enjoy!
Start off by applying a base coat, I used China Glaze’s “Strong Adhesion Base Coat.”
Apply a neutral color as the base polish, I used Revlon’s Colorstay Gel Envy in “Well Suited.”
With different shades of one color, I chose purple, apply big blobs or circular like shapes on the nail. Starting with the lightest as the largest on the bottom and the darkest in the center or top with a glitter. I used (in order) Kokie’s “Heavenly”, Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in “No Hard Feelings”, Jenna Hipp’s “Tres Parfait”, Max Studio’s “Royal Affair” and Wet n Wild’s megalast in “Sparkle and Grey.”
To add some more sparkle you can outline the entire nail with a metallic color. I used Winstonia’s “Fine Line” brush and Emori’s “Silver.”
Lastly, apply a top coat, I used China Glaze’s “No Chip Top Coat.”
Your Geode Nails are finished!
