Shark Week Nails

Hi everyone! I know these are like a week late but I like to participate in holidays/events with my nail art. They are actually simpler than I thought they’d be but I thought they turned out pretty cool!

IMG_20170730_180637_717

Start off by applying a base coat, I used Mineral Fusion’s “Base Coat.”

IMG_4547

Apply a background color of your choice, I used Revlon’s Colorstay Gel Envy in “Lovestruck.”

IMG_4549

With a black color (or another color of your choice) paint a pointed half oval on the nail and then a smaller one inside that one. Then fill in the space in between those two half ovals. I used Winstonia’s “Kolinsky #0000” brush and Apple Barrel’s “Black” acrylic paint.

In the bottom portion of the shape just created (the mouth of the shark or the blue half oval) paint small white triangles along the black to create the teeth. I used Winstonia’s “Berry Wine” brush and Apple Barrel’s “White” acrylic paint.

fullsizeoutput_7b5

With a small dotting tool and the same white color place two dots above the mouth for the eyes.

fullsizeoutput_7b6

Fix up any lines with the same “Berry Wine” brush and black color if needed.

Lastly, apply a top coat. I used Mineral Fusion’s “Top Coat.”

Floral Line Nails

Hi everyone! I wanted to do something simple but summery so this is what I got! The flowers were supposed to be in a thick line going down the middle of the nail but it didn’t really turn out like that..

IMG_20170723_165248_256

Start off by applying a base coat, I used China Glaze’s “Strong Adhesion Base Coat.”

IMG_4516.JPG

Apply a base color of your choice, I used Jenna Hipp’s “Tres Parfait.”

IMG_4518

With a darker shade of the base color, place flowers in a line vertically down the center of the nail. Paint five dots in a circle to create the flowers. I used an XS dotting tool and Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in “Pep-Plum.”

IMG_4520IMG_4521IMG_4522

With the same dotting tool and a metallic color, place a dot in the center of each flower. I used Ulta’s “Twinkling.”

IMG_4524

Using a detail brush and a green color or two, place leaves around the flowers, I used Red Carpet’s “Detail Brush” and Jordana’s “Key Lime.”

fullsizeoutput_7b1fullsizeoutput_7b2

Lastly, apply a top coat. I used China Glaze’s “No Chip Top Coat.”

Seashell Nails | Inspired by @kirakiranial and @nailove2807 on Instagram

Hi everyone! I saw @kirakirnail and @nailove2807 posts on Instagram and I just had to recreate this look! It is completely inspired by them both! All supplies used are listed below as always! I hope you all enjoy!

IMG_20170716_191056_255

Start off by applying a base coat, I used China Glaze’s “Strong Adhesion Base Coat.”

IMG_4477

Apply a couple coats of a sheer pink polish as the base. I used Forever 21’s “Rose Petal.”

IMG_4479

To create the seashell, start off by painting a horizontal line where you wish for it to start on the nail. I Winstonia’s “Short” striper brush and Love My Nails’ “White.”

IMG_4481

Then, paint a vertical line coming from the middle of that horizontal line, this should get wider towards the tip.

IMG_4482IMG_4483IMG_4484

Simply create similar lines on both sides of this vertical line until you reach the horizontal line. The lines should slightly slant more and more towards the horizontal line.

IMG_4485IMG_4486IMG_4487

To apply the pearl in the center of the shell, apply a blob of top coat/gel/nail glue, it is your choice but I went with top coat. Then simply pick up the pearl with a toothpick dipped in top coat or whatever you’re using. I used Pandahall’s “1 Box White Mixed Sizes Flat Back Pearl Cabochon” from Amazon.

IMG_4489

Do the same with the rhinestones except place one on each side of the pearl. I used Born Pretty Store’s rhinestone wheel.

fullsizeoutput_7a1

Lastly, apply a generous amount of top coat to prolong the wear of the rhinestones and pearl. I used China Glaze’s “No Chip Top Coat.”

Zebra Print Nails

Hi everyone! This tutorial is for zebra print nails. There is not much too it, it is really just painting squiggly lines! I hope you all enjoy! All products are listed below.

IMG_20170711_191908_448

Start off by applying a base coat, I used China Glaze’s “Strong Adhesion Base Coat.”

fullsizeoutput_794.jpeg

Apply a white polish as the base/background color. I used Love My Nails in “White.”

IMG_4393

With a striper brush and a black color, simply paint squiggly lines going across the nail. You want to alternate which side the line starts and carry the line across most of the nail. I used Winstonia’s “Short” striper brush and Apple Barrel’s “Black” acrylic paint.

fullsizeoutput_795fullsizeoutput_796fullsizeoutput_797fullsizeoutput_798

American Flag/Fourth of July Nails

Hi everyone! This is the nail design I decided on for this fourth of July season since I live in the United States. It is way simpler than it looks, especially if you do the dots instead of the stars. I thought it was a great, simple and patriotic nail look. I hope you all enjoy!

IMG_20170702_235452_855

Start off with a base coat, I used China Glaze’s “Strong Adhesion Base Coat.”

IMG_4248

Apply a red polish as the base color, I used Kleancolor’s “Red Alert.”

IMG_4250

With a striper brush and a white color, paint stripe going vertically on the nail. I used Winstonia’s “Short” striper brush, Apple Barrel’s “White” and “Bright Red” (for clean up) acrylic paints.

IMG_4252

Using a blue color, paint a rectangle in one corner of the nail. I used Apple Barrel’s “Cobalt Blue” acrylic paint.

IMG_4254

In the blue rectangle you can paint white dots, starts or even just one star. I decided on the dots just to make it simpler and because I feel like I have done stars a lot recently. I used an XS dotting tool to do this.

IMG_4256

Lastly, apply a top coat, I used China Glaze’s “No Chip Top Coat.”

Apply a base color of your choice, I used Forever 21’s “Rose Petal.”

I used Winstonia’s “Short” striper brush, Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails in “Heart of Stone”, “No Hard Feelings”, “Hard Bitten”, Jenna Hipp’s “Creme de Cantaloupe”, “Marshmallow Fondant”, and Sally Girl mini no name 812165.

IMG_4223IMG_4224IMG_4225

Then, with some darker shades of the same colors, paint patterns in the triangles such as stripes and polka dots and then outline the hat/triangle. Honduran Flag Nails 🇭🇳

Hi everyone! This tutorial is on how to create these Honduran Flag Nails. I decided to do this because this is where my family is from and I recently went to visit and wanted to have the flags on my nails while I was there. (Hence why I haven’t been able to upload until now). I hope you all enjoy! As always, all the products used are listed below.

IMG_20170630_193244_961

Start off with a base coat, I used China Glaze’s “Strong Adhesion Base Coat.”

IMG_4197

Apply a blue polish as the base color. I used Ruby Kisses’ “Schoolgirl Blue.”

fullsizeoutput_72f

With a striper brush and a white color, paint a thick stripe going vertically down the center of the nail. Do this by painting two stripes and then filling in the gap. I used Winstonia’s “Short” striper brush and Apple Barrel’s “White” acrylic paint.

fullsizeoutput_72eIMG_4202

With the same blue color and an XS dotting tool, place five dots where the stars will be painted on this white stripe.

IMG_4204

With a detail brush and the blue color paint on the stripes. Do this in a similar way to how you would draw them on a piece of paper. I used Winstonia’s “Berry Wine” brush.

IMG_4206
