Start off with a base coat, I used Revlon’s “Quick Dry Base Coat.”

Apply a base color of your choice, I used Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure in “Almost Almond.”

Using a detail brush and a green color, start to paint the cactus shape. I did this by painting a small line going vertically on the nail and then creating two “L” shapes on each side of that line. I made these shapes all over the nail and even had some going off of the nail to give it more of a patterned look. I used Red Carpet’s “Detail Brush” and a Sally Girl mini nail polish with no name.

Using a thinner brush and a darker green or black color, give the cactus more detail by adding small dashes and lines as the spikes all over the cactus. I used Winstonia’s “Berry Wine” brush and MAC’s “Before Dawn.”

Add small flowers on every other cactus by using a color of your choice and a very small dotting tool. I used Sinful Color’s “Soul Mate.”

Lastly, apply a top coat, I used Revlon’s “Extra Life No Chip Top Coat.”
